The Front Desk

The front desk is located on the first floor of Chadbourne. Residents can buy stamps, check the vacuums, check out the key to the kitchen or the music room, exchange linen, and put money on their Housing Choice Account (food) or Campus Cash Account (laundry, etc.).

Laundry

There is a laundry room in the basement of Chadbourne with 10 washers and 12 dryers. Washers cost $2.00 per load and dryers are free. Residents pay for washers with their Housing Food Accounts. There are also vending machines in the laundry room.

Computing

There is a computer lab (the TLC) on the first floor of Chadbourne. It has both Windows and Mac computers, a scanner, and printers.

Telephone, Internet, and Cable Television

Each double room contains two phone jacks (to the same phone line), and a non-cordless phone is provided in the room. Each resident has an Ethernet(internet) connection (T1 lines) that is separate from the phone line. (Both residents of the room can have computers hooked up at the same time.) There is also a cable TV hook-up in each room.

Residence Life Office (RLO)

The headquarters of CRC administrative staff, located in the hallway between the main lobby and the cafeteria, across from the ARCH. Reasons you might find yourself in the RLO:

  • On your way to the cafeteria, you see your House Fellow sitting on the couch, so you chat for a minute or two
  • You need to sign up for the Ski trip, a spring break trip, reserve the Chadbourne Main Lounge for an event, or request copies of your publicity for your Interest Group
  • You need to talk to the Residence Life Coordinators (their offices are adjacent to the RLO).
