Housing Diversity Statement
University Housing values a diverse work force.
Long before we committed our beliefs to paper in 2002, our commitment to providing a diverse envinronment has served as a corner stone of our work. Since the initial posting, our Diversity Statement serves as a public declaration we are proud to live up to.
Each individual brings uniqueness to our community. All are valued for who they are and their skills and contributions. We actively seek this diversity and work hard at helping all staff and all residents feel that they are affirmed members of the community. By working together, we can create and maintain a work and living environment in which no individual is advantaged or disadvantaged for being different and where everyone has the opportunity to develop their potential and contribute fully to their community. We know that our residents and staff will thrive as a result.
Year Round Employment
When other campus departments are winding down for the summer, University Housing is saying goodbye to that year's residents and begins to welcome over 16,000 summer conference guests.
Having year round employment for our career staff is fundamental to our commitment to excellent service. The continuity of twelve month employment ensures our student residents have facilities and staff that are well prepared to welcome them each fall. Our summer Conference Service Program assists in ensuring our staff enjoy year round employment.
