Do you have a preferred roommate?
Please note: If you list a preferred roommate, you are telling us that being with a preferred roommate is more important to you than your hall choices. Sometimes we are unsuccessful at matching new residents with current residents. Follow these steps:
- Enter your preferred roommate’s name and last four digits of the Campus ID.
- Coordinate your hall preferences, so that you and your preferred roommate list your hall preferences in the exact same order.
- Return to Rooms OnLine or log off. You have successfully completed your assignment preferences.
Why am I required to rank order all the residence hall choices?
- We want to make sure you receive the most preferred option of the hall neighborhoods available at the time your room assignment is made.
- Lakeshore or Southeast designation appears next to each of the halls to assist you in grouping your choices by neighborhood. See the map for further assistance.
- Use the Place to Call Home booklet and the Web sites to help you determine your residence hall choices.
- We do not guarantee placement into any specific hall.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Certain halls have different room types and pricing (Adams - including the International Learning Community, Barnard, Friedrick, Merit, Smith, or Ogg). You can expect to pay a higher room rate if you are assigned to one of these halls.
- Learning Communites (except the Multicultural Learning Community) have an extra fee.
- We do not collect requests for a specific room type. You may be assigned to any of the room types we offer, although most new students will be assigned to double rooms.
- Some room types have a higher rate than double rooms; be sure to review the rate information.
Why can't I request a single room?
