CRC Courses
We offer a variety of courses and discussion sections that are held and open only to CRC students. This is one of the many ways we integrate living and learning—by bringing academic, and intellectual opportunities in the residential setting. CRC students report that taking classes where they live means better discussions, easy access to study groups and support, and unparalleled access to faculty and instructors. As one faculty member who taught in CRC shared, “The CRC environment greatly facilitated the construction of a vibrant intellectual community among the students.”
Involvement through courses could include:
- Offering a discussion section of an existing course for CRC students;
- Teaching a special CRC course connected to the CRC mission (e.g., liberal arts, social justice, civic engagement, citizenship, leadership, service)
- Helping to solicit and select special courses submitted by faculty/grad student proposals;
- Serving as a guest speaker in a CRC course
- Participating in on-going conversations about creating a CRC curriculum of courses toward a concentration or certificate
