University Housing Catering is able to provide responsible bar service for your special event. We provide an excellent selection of beers, wine, and soft drinks. If there are special items that you are considering for your event, let us know, and we'll do our best to get it for your bar. A licensed bartender will be provided for your event. All bar service must be accompanied by a minimum $5.00 per person food order. Maximum length of the bar is 3 hours. One bartender will be provided per 75 guests, however, catering management reserves the right to determine the number of bars and the number of bartenders depending on size and duration of event.

Beer Selection

We offer a wide range of local microbrews and domestic options. Our catering management will expertly craft a selection to meet your group's needs.

House Wines

We can tailor our house wine varietals to your specific needs. We have access to additional wines from a number of different local, domestic, and international regions.

Hosted or Cash Bar

For a hosted bar, you will be charged based on actual guest consumption or the hourly minimum - whichever is greater. For a cash bar, you will be charged the bartender fee plus the difference in sales versus the minimum per hour.

Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks 

  • $150 minimum sales per hour 
  •  $35 bartender labor per hour

Deluxe hosted or cash bar - Cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks

  • $250 minimum sales per hour 
  • $35 bartender labor per hour


Below is a list of our price ranges for normal stocked bar items. Additional pricing structures may apply for custom needs or exclusive brands.

  • Bottled Beer - $5 per bottle
  • House Wine - $6 per glass
  • Mixed Drink and Cocktails - Vary between $6.00 and $8.50 per cocktail
  • Soft Drinks - $1.50 per soft drink
Soft drinks can be included in the overall event costs if you want to offer them hosted to your guests.
Healthy Fare: This symbol denotes entrées identified as typically lower in fat. They may also be made with natural ingredients, whole grains, and natural sweeteners.  Entrées in this area generally contain 15 grams or less of saturated fat. 
Vegan Items: Food with this symbol are identified as Vegan items. Vegan includes no meat, dairy, eggs, and honey. We use beet sugar that has not been filtered with bone char.  

Vegetarian Items: Foods with this symbol are identified as Vegetarian items. Eggs and cheese are included in this category. 

Gluten Free Items: Food with this symbol are identified as Gluten Free items. We have taken precautions to avoid cross-contamination but we cannot guarantee or totally eliminate the possibility of accidental gluten contact.
