Why does a cash customer pay a different price
than a student who lives in the University Residence Halls?
At University Housing, we have a responsibility to provide the highest quality food at reasonable prices for our residents. Residents pay for overhead costs as part of their room rates, so their purchase price reflects only the cost of food.
Cash customers in our dining rooms will pay an additional 60% of the posted price of an item. We always strive to offer many affordable options for our cash customers, including Cash Meal Deals. Below are some sample meals that add up to $6 or less.

The House Card is a dining card that provides a unique way to purchase meals for your department's guests on campus. It was established to create convenience for offices and departments offering meals to visitors; The House Card eliminates the hassles of handling cash and is accepted at all seven Housing dining locations on campus, in many convenient locations. Whether purchasing lunch for one or 100 guests, The House Card makes it easy to keep track of your budget and expenditures.

The Cash Meal Deals feature a specific menu for you at an attractive cash price and change daily to provide a wide assortment of selections. Within each week, but not necessarily daily, we offer entrées for both meat eaters and vegetarians.
