Diversity Programs Core Value

Our core value is social justice, justice that is inclusive of all underrepresented communities. One of the primary goals of the diversity programs office is to provide resources and services to traditionally underrepresented groups (i.e. Students of color, international students, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students). Services are provided via student staff positions and programs offered within the MSC Satellite space. Through these efforts it is our goal to raise social justice consciousness and to provide a supportive inclusive campus environment for all students. It is our expectation that all of our professional and student staff positions support us in creating a more multicultural diverse and socially just community. The diversity programs office, located in Gordon Commons, sets initiatives and priorities in conjunction with all departmental staff.

By working together, we can create and maintain a work and living environment in which no individuals is advantaged or disadvantaged for being different and where everyone has the opportunity to develop their potential and contribute fully to their community. We know that our residents and staff will thrive as a result.
