School-Age Room (4-12 year olds)

School-Age Room: Our school-age room is home to several great programs. During the academic school year, we have a before school program (the Early Birds) and an after school program (the Gliders) for elementary school children who attend Shorewood Hills Elementary School. Between these programs is our 4-year old Kindergarten Program (Pre-K Plus). During the summer, these three programs combine into our full-day summer school-age program (the High Flyers). Activity Area: This classroom also has a wonderful view of our community! Activity Area: Games, puzzles and small manipulative items galore! There is always something fun and challenging available. Dramatic Play Area: There are many opportunities for dramatic play, which often take the form of writing and acting out plays. Literacy Area: With a focus on early literacy, this area of the room offers computer games, a special writing table, and many books - both old favorites and brand new selections.
