Build on your Experiences!

Aside from our non-interview positions, Housing has many other positions that allow you to build on the work or leadership experiences you already have.

Remember, these positions are competitive so be ready to sell yourself in an interview!

Residence Hall Desks

Desks are a focal point for information for residents and visitors. Employee responsibilities include sorting mail, selling stamps, and handling Wiscard deposits. Vacancies are posted online and at the hall desk; applications are only accepted at that time.

Technology

Opportunities include assisting other students in using computers or designing web pages, databases, troubleshooting for users and more.

Clerical

Students provide ongoing office support or assist with special short term projects such as filing, collating, mailings, and other office tasks.

Residence Life

In addition to the hourly part-time positions described above, experienced students may apply for live-in positions such as House Fellows and Multicultural Resident Consultants. These positions typically begin interviewing in the 1st semester for the following school year, so be on the look-out early!

Supervisory Positions

University Housing offers many different supervisory positions in many different areas, including Dining & Culinary Services, Residence Hall Facilities (custodial), Residence Life (including our hall desks), and IT.
