Tripp Hall

Construction Schedule: May 2010 - August 2010

Tripp Makeover Complete

Residents of Tripp Hall can enjoy the luxury and comfort of adjustable in-room temperature as each room now has its own precise temperature control. The renovation of the heating system reduces overheating that was caused by old radiators and also saves money and energy.

A central computer monitors the entire building, allowing for a remote reduction in temperature during times when the building is vacant, like winter break. The central computer also has the capability to alert staff incase of equipment malfunction.

Construction Overview

Tripp HallTripp Hall has had extensive upgrades over the past several years. New windows, new electrical distribution systems with increased load capacity, renovated common bathrooms, new resident room furniture, and upgraded flooring all have enhanced this hall. However, the heating system has remained largely unchanged and is being replaced in this project. The new system will improve individual room heat controls and save energy.
