New Witte Hall Entrance Complete

The new entrance to Witte Hall on the corner of Johnson St. and Lake St. Contractors have completed all work on the new entrance to Witte Hall. The entrance itself was finished and ready for the beginning of fall 2011 classes in early September. Interior details have now been completed as well, including artwork framing & hanging, bulletin board placement, appliance & cabinet installation, and furniture placement. The new inner entryway to Witte Hall includes alphabet artwork detailing Dane County's ethnic offerings.

The new Center for Cultural Enrichment (CCE) has begun programming events and gatherings in its new space, which includes a kitchen, offices, conference room, storage room, resident workstations, couches, and a flat-panel HDTV & entertainment center. Exterior landscaping and new plantings are also complete, giving Witte Hall residents new flowers, bushes, and trees to enjoy in the west courtyard. The new entrance is handicap-accessible, security-enabled, air-conditioned/heated, and large enough to allow for efficient and timely passage of residents.
