Activities & Programs

Residence hall group activity

Okay, you're all moved-in. Want to meet new people or connect with others who might share your interests? Of course you do. Or maybe you want to branch out and find something different? By becoming involved within your residence hall or hall organization, you can create a home away from home, discover fun interests and skills, and make friends on a large campus. Involvement is all about you and what you want to contribute to the community.

Each residence hall has a number of house activities and hall-wide programs that take place throughout the academic year. Examples of some of these events include ice cream socials, movie nights, and even trips to Chicago and the Kalahari Resort. While events are an easy way to get involved, many halls also offer leadership opportunities through hall specific student organizations and appointments to the Residence Halls Advisory Board (RHAB). If you’re looking to have your voice heard while sprucing up your résumé from the moment you step foot on campus, be sure to look into these opportunities right within your residence hall.
