Continuing & Transfer Student Room Selection
Wouldn’t it be nice to choose your own room?
You can! Continuing students and transfer students are given the opportunity to select their room online in My UW Housing. My UW Housing provides a link to our residence hall floor plans to assist you in selecting a room.
How does the process work?
- Return your University Residence Halls Contract and deposit.
- An email will be sent to you inviting you to visit My UW Housing to select your room. This usually happens in late March.
- Log on to My UW Housing using your Net ID and password and select from the available rooms.
- Official confirmation of your 2013-14 assignment the first week of June.
Important items to note:
- If you decide not to select a room using My UW Housing, you will be part of our mass assignment process in late May and your assignment will be sent to you the first week of June.
- If you are unable to find a room that interests you, select a room in the same hall or in the nearest hall and then stop down to the Assignment Office in the lower level of Slichter Hall on the first day of classes to put your name on a room change card list. We maintain a waiting list of double and single room change cards.
- The My UW Housing room selection option is not available to students coming in new at the spring semester.
