Sellery Hall Community Highlights
We want you involved in Sellery Hall! No matter what you're interested in there's a way to make it happen! We'll even give you money to start an organized activity! There are three learning communities located right in Sellery Hall (WISE, The Studio, and ERLC). We encourage you to join one of them! The Studio was recently featured in the On Wisconsin magazine.
Below is a list of involvement opportunities this year in Sellery Hall. For more information about any of these opportunities, see a member of the Residence Life staff!
Sellery Allies
College is a time for exploration, growth, and learning. Help plan themed monthly events focused on exploring diversity, multicultural, and social justice issues, including an ongoing roundtable dinner event with FREE FOOD and an invited speaker!
Sellery Gives Back
In addition to Sellery's work with Goodman Community Center, we want to provide community service to organizations and people all over the Madison area and beyond. If you have a volunteer project in mind, get it established with Sellery Service. We have one time opportunities and more long-term volunteer opportunities.
Sellery Late Nights
This committee will be responsible for the creation of events inside and outside Sellery of a social nature (primarily focuses on weekend and late-night programming for students) including trips, outdoor activities, friendly competitions, dances, concerts, open mics, and any other events that residents desire! Work with groups like the Directors of the WI Union Hoofers and Music Committees.
Sellery Academics
This committee will organize, implement, and participate in the creation of events within Sellery that are academically based including Book Club, Favorite Professor, Study Bucks, Study Spot of the Week, and other varying events pertaining to Sellery residents' academic needs, wants, and futures.
RHAB
Sellery Hall has 2 Residence Hall Advisory Board (RHAB) Representatives whom are charged with advocating on behalf of Sellery Hall to the senior administrators of University Housing. This is a great way to make your voice heard and bring about change you want to see! In the Fall, consider running for one of these two competitive positions. During the year, seek these people out to provide with your feedback!
