Supporting Personal and Academic Growth

As a resident of Smith Hall, you can be part of the University of Wisconsin’s tradition of service and excellence. Our goal is to provide everything you need for a memorable and successful collegiate experience in a beautiful building that opened in 2006.

Smith residents can take advantage of enhanced hall services such as the new Technology Learning Center (TLC), a classroom on the first floor, our very own Newell’s Deli, a private soundproof music practice room, as well as desk services. The nearby Southeast Recreational Facility (SERF) has many amenities for all students to pursue an active lifestyle.

With 415 residents, Smith Hall gives you the opportunity to discover the experiences, interests and passions of your fellow residents. The goal of our Involvement Model, The Badger Challenge, is to help you meet people and build valuable leadership skills through various House, Hall and Campus programming and developmental opportunities.

So get ready to come make friends, have a successful academic year and create memories that will last a lifetime at Smith Hall. We are excited to help you begin your journey to fulfilling the Wisconsin Idea!
