Supporting Personal and Academic Growth

Living in Smith Hall, you can be part of the University of Wisconsin–Madison tradition of service and excellence. Our goal is to provide everything you need for a memorable and successful collegiate experience in a beautiful building that opened in 2006.

Smith residents can take advantage of enhanced hall services like a new Technology Learning Center (TLC), a UW–Madison classroom on first floor, our very own Newell’s Deli, a private soundproof music practice room, as well as desk services. The nearby Southeast Recreational Facility (SERF) can help you stay or become physically fit.

With 415 residents, Smith Hall offers at least 414 personal stories, experiences, interests, and passions for you to discover. You can meet people and build valuable leadership skills through various hall and house programming, including the Smith Hall Organization.

So get ready to come make friends, have a successful academic year, and create memories that will last a lifetime at Smith Hall. We are excited to meet you!
