Meeting Rooms and Audio-Visual Equipment
University Housing Conference Services offers assistance with meeting planning (PDF) in several meeting rooms available for use by our conference groups at no additional charge. To make room reservations within University Housing facilities, please contact the Housing Conference Services Office.
Audio and visual equipment for University Housing residential conference programs is reserved through the Housing Conference Services Office. Equipment can be reserved for use in our residence halls and dining units as soon as your conference is confirmed with a signed letter of agreement with University Housing. Equipment use includes delivery of the equipment to your meeting room, set up and removal following your program. If you are in need of equipment troubleshooting for any equipment that you have reserved, please contact the Desk Services staff.
In most cases, there are no additional audio or visual fees for residential conference programs. Any fees for equipment that is lost, stolen, or damaged, will be the responsibility of the conference sponsor. Equipment requests are due a minimum of three weeks prior to your program.
The following audio equipment is available for residential conference groups:
- Boom boxes with radio, cassette tape and CD players
- Microphones (handheld, lapel; wired and wireless)
- Portable public address/sound systems for indoor use
The following video/projection equipment is available for residential conference groups:
- Data projectors (for computer-related presentations)
- DVD players
- Overhead projectors
- Slide projectors
- Televisions (various sizes)
- VCR units
- VCR/DVD combination units
The following additional equipment is available for residential conference groups:
- Dry-erase boards
- Chalk boards
- Easels for flip charts
- Extension cords
- Microphone stands
- Podiums (table top and floor)
- Power strips
- Screens
- Telephones (free local calls)
- Telephone line splitters
- Television carts
Conference groups may make arrangements to secure their own audio and visual equipment from outside sources. All costs, delivery, set up, removal, security, and any other arrangements related to the use of non-Housing equipment is the sole responsibility of the conference sponsor and organizers. University Housing does not assume any liability for equipment used for conference programs.
Please contact the Housing Conference Services Office for meeting room reservations and equipment arrangements. Reservations for meeting space and use of equipment are taken on a first come, first-served basis.
