SOAR Housing Experience
University Housing has great SOAR options for students and parents/guests. For room and reservation information, see our accommodations page.
Your SOAR stay in the University Residence Halls is campus’s recommended way to introduce you and your parents/guests to the helpful resources and wonderful experiences that await you at UW-Madison.
This is a unique opportunity for you and your parents/guests to experience a night in the residence halls together.
Guests can also join the SOAR House Fellow from 9:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. each night in the main lobby.
UW Housing SOAR accommodations are not automatically included with SOAR fees. You can book your SOAR Housing reservation beginning in March.
Hit the Ground Running
Your SOAR Housing experience will help you hit the ground running when you arrive on campus in the fall. By the time you move in, you’ll already have an idea of where to eat, how residence hall rooms can be set up and what a helpful resource your House Fellow will be. You can also meet other students whom you can stay in touch with throughout your time at Madison.
Make Your Reservation
You can book your SOAR Housing reservation beginning in March, once you've booked your SOAR session through Center for First Year Experience (CFYE).
For detailed information about costs, arrivals, room assignments and much more, visit our SOAR accommodations page.
