WISE Peer Mentors
Peer Mentor, Women in Science and Engineering
Hi! Im Jan and I joined WISE as a lost freshman and found it to be one of the greatest things I've ever done. I'm ecstatic about being a WISE Peer Mentor and meeting all of you! Some things I love to do in my spare time is play violin in orchestra and my quartet, playing piano, chilling at the terrace, and dancing. An interesting fact about me is that I'm a member of Bellydancing UW and love discovering new student organizations. So if you even need a friend to go with, you can always call me up! :D
Sophomore, Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, Women in Science and Engineering
Hello all and welcome to the WISE community! I'm Kirby and I'm one of your fabulous Peer Mentors this year. I am from Chicago, Illinois (yes the Windy City) and I am proud of it. I am a sophomore double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. After my first year experience in WISE, I really enjoyed the program and decided that I wanted to come back for more. WISE acted as a cushion in allowing me to become comfortable with college life. Some of my interests are watching Japanese Anime, listening to music, shopping, playing video games, and meeting new people. I am a very lively and friendly person, so do not be afraid to ask questions. I am willing to answer them to the best of my ability and I promise that I won't bite. ;-)

Sophomore, Biology, Women in Science and Engineering
Hello! My name's Julia and I'm currently a sophomore, majoring in biology. This will be my second year participating in WISE, since I was a student in the WISE program last year. I'm really excited to be a peer mentor and to get to know everybody! Some of the things I love other than the study of life include playing in band, nerding out, watching discovery channel, watching the ducks on the terrace, going to the zoo, and rocking out to some hardcore rock 'n' roll! Feel free to come talk to me about anything and I'll answer to the best of my abilities!
