Witte Hall Activities
Come and find a place to connect and meet people who have the same interests as you...
By becoming involved...
- You create a home away from home
- Discover new interests and skills
- Make friends on a large campus
Involvement is about YOU and what YOU want to contribute to the community! You can become involved in a one-time event at any time of the year or become part of an ongoing opportunity. We welcome the chance to help YOU create an avenue for yourself to become involved in whichever way you choose.
House Activities
One of the easiest ways to get involved is to become an active member of your House community and to help your House Fellow plan events and meetings for your floor. Each House in Witte Hall receives a budget based on the number of residents and it is up to the residents of each House to determine how the money is spent. Your House Fellow will discuss program ideas and ask for your participation at House meetings.
Witte Hall Organization
Everyone living in Witte is a member of the Witte Hall Organization (WHO) is the organization that manages the funding to the various hall-wide programs, and provides a range of services from video, sport, and kitchen equipment checkout. Funding decisions are made by residents for residents at hall-wide meetings and each attending resident is a voting member. All WHO sponsored events are be open to all Witte residents.
Hall-wide programs
Throughout the year, Witte Hall will sponsor a variety of hall-wide programs, all of which you're welcome to attend! If you like to help plan events, we'd love to have your help!
Some of our programs are purely social in nature so you can meet other people. Examples of social programs Witte residents have planned in the past include:
- Trips to Chicago
- Ski Trips
- Witte Olympics
- Witte Idol
In addition to social programs, we also have WHO Directors who help meet other student needs and interests. If you'd like to help plan programs for any of these planning groups, please let your House Fellow know! Otherwise, look for details about these programs later during the year:
