UA SPECIAL EVENTS

Yoga with Colleen
May 2 & 16 

Colleen, one of the resident managers at University Apartments is a certified yoga instructor and planning to run a new program for the community. Join her and the group every other Thursday starting May 2 from 7 to 8 p.m. for an hour of yoga, mindfulness and health. It is a free event and no registration is required. Yoga mats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Movie Night Out at Market Square Cinema
May 10

Join us for popcorn and a movie on the big screen with your family, friends and neighbors. Transportation from and to the Community Center will be provided. More details about the movie and registration will be available soon.

Bike Fest
May 18

Bike season has begun! Spend a super Saturday learning and receiving information about bike repairs, biking paths and bike safety. Residents will receive free bike helmets, minor bike repairs, and tickets to win dozens of prizes and have healthy snacks. This is a free event, open for all ages. Registration is not required.

Cooking Class
May 24

If you would like to try and learn different recipes from all around the world, join our monthly cooking class. Registration is required and limited to 10 people in the kitchen. The link for the registration will go live as we get closer to the event date. If you are interested to volunteer to teach the class, please email UAevents@housing.wisc.edu. All ingredients will be provided.

Women’s Coffee and Conversation
May 30

Something as simple as a cup of coffee and a conversation can go a long way to grow a community and create new connections. Join the women in the community for chat, friendship, coffee and fun. No registration required.

Terrace After Dark
Various dates throughout the summer

When the sun sets but the night stays warm, it’s time to hit up the Terrace for free live music and movies. Terrace After Dark features the best of what our students are in to. Events will run throughout the summer and there is no cost for the concerts or films (all of which take place rain or shine).
