Olbrich Gardens Trip
June 8

Spring is finally here and it means blossom season has begun! Join us for a trip to Olbrich Garden for magnificent views of exotic plants, fragrant flowers, orchids, free-flying birds, a waterfall and indoor and outdoor gardens. Don’t forget to bring your camera! Transportation to and from the Community Center is provided. Registration is required for this event and will open soon.

Pontoon Boat Trip
June 15

Come aboard! Cruise the lakes with your neighbors and friends. Have you ever looked at the beautiful lakes in Madison and wanted to get out on the water? The MSCR Pontoon Boat Program was created just for you. Enjoy a relaxing cruise and see the city of Madison like you have never seen it before. Trained volunteers drive the boats. The fee includes the boat ride and transportation from and to the Community Center. The link for registration will go live soon and the fee will be announced then.

Cooking Class
June 21

If you have an appetite to taste and learn new cuisine, join us for our cooking class. Space is limited to 10 people, so sign up soon. Also, please make sure you will be able to attend when you sign up. If you are interested in teaching a class, email us at UAEvents@housing.wisc.edu as we are always seeking for teacher. Ingredients and instructions are provided! Registration will open soon.

Women’s Coffee and Conversation
June 27 

Something as simple as a cup of coffee and a conversation can go a long way to grow a community and create new connections. Join the women in the community for chat, friendship, coffee and fun. No registration required.

Shorewood Elementary School

If you’re looking to catch up on your summer reading, or just looking for a great summer activity, the bookmobile will be visiting Shorewood Elementary School on Mondays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A valid library card is required to borrow items from the bookmobile, and a card can be issued by any library in the South Central Library System.
