Community Campfire
Sept. 6

Come and enjoy an evening of fun, games and music at the Dejope Fire Circle. We will provide items to make s’mores for the group. We hope to see you at the fire circle. No sign up is required.

Cooking Class
Sept. 20

Residents will be teaching other residents how to cook a dish in our Community Center kitchen. If you would be interested in teaching a small group of fellow residents how to cook a dish. The ingredients will be provided. If you are not interested in teaching, but would like to attend a class to learn how to cook a dish, keep an eye out for sign-ups in the next few weeks.

Henry Vilas Zoo
Sept. 21

Join us on a trip to the zoo. The Henry Vilas Zoo is one of only a handful of admission-free, community supported zoos in the country. The beautiful zoo features exhibits and attractions for the whole family. There is a wide variety of animals from aardvarks to Yellow Banded frogs! Admission to the trip is free but sign up will be required at a later date.

Volunteers Needed!

Are you interested in helping at the Community Center? Are you looking to be more involved with the University Apartments Community? If you answered yes to any of these questions we have the opportunity for you. We are looking for dedicated individuals that have a skill or hobby that they would like to teach the community. Some opportunities could be: beginner piano skills, arts and crafts for kids and adults, teaching another language, a beginner exercise class, a dance class for children, or any other opportunity. Please email or call the Community Center office if you are interested or have any questions.
