GUTS, Greater University Tutoring Services – Conversational English with Kids
Starting Oct. 9

GUTS, Greater University Tutoring Services, is back at UA this fall for Conversational English with Kids. An opportunity for school-aged children to improve their English skills, gain confidence in speaking, and learn more about US culture. The classes will be Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Community Center, starting on Oct. 9. Registration is REQUIRED.

Wisconsin Fest
Oct. 19 

You are invited! Join us for our annual Wisconsin Festival. Enjoy traditional Wisconsinite foods, UW Marching Band, Bucky Badger and many other activities. It is a celebration of fun for everyone! This is a free, drop-in event for all ages. No Registration Required!

Halloween Themed Movie Night

Halloween is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate then with a great Halloween themed movie! Keep your eyes peeled for an update on what we will be showing, but in the meantime SAVE THE DATE and we’ll see you there!

World Dairy Expo
Oct. 1 – 5

If you have ever wondered exactly how your milk, cheese, ice cream, etc., comes to be in your refrigerator/ freezer, or have a particular interest in bovines, then save Oct. 1 through 5 on your calendar. The World Dairy Expo will be held at the Alliant Energy Center for that time and will feature exhibits, food, a dairy cattle show as well as seminars and tours.

Volunteers Needed!

Are you interested in helping at the Community Center? Are you looking to be more involved with the University Apartments Community? If you answered yes to any of these questions we have the opportunity for you. We are looking for dedicated individuals that have a skill or hobby that they would like to teach the community. Some opportunities could be: beginner piano skills, arts and crafts for kids and adults, teaching another language, a beginner exercise class, a dance class for children, or any other opportunity.
