COVID-19 Resources for Parents

Hello Eagle’s Wing Families,

I hope you are well and adjusting to our new situation. On behalf of the Eagle’s Wing staff, I wanted to give you some resources specifically about COVID-19.

  • First, the website for the American Academy of Pediatrics,, offers some great information about COVID-19 as well as resources for working from home and caring for your child.
  • Next, the attached guide for parents and families is from Breathe For Change, and organization that holds teacher trainings in yoga and mindfulness, and it offers a few things you can do at home with your family to help with the stress you may be feeling.
  • Last, the story, Why Can’t I Go to School? was written for children by a member of the Madison Early Childhood Community to help parents and families talk with kids about the change to their routine. It was published by the Conscious Discipline organization and is available through their website. You have to sign up for the website to view it, but it is free, and offered in several languages. If you do not want to sign up, here is a link to a video of me reading the story in English:

The Eagle’s Wing staff is here to support you and your families during this time, and please know we are all thinking of you and missing seeing your kids. If you have not already, you will be hearing from your child’s teachers soon. We are also here to answer questions anytime.

Be well!
