Housing Going Cashless for Fall

Beginning September 1, University Housing will no longer be accepting cash for any transactions, in an effort to minimize the possible spread of COVID-19 and reduce issues of handling paper money. This applies to residents of University Apartments and the residence halls, as well as University Housing staff. This change includes deposits to Wiscard accounts at the Cashier’s Office in Slichter Hall and Dining Administrative Office in Gordon Dining & Event Center. In recent years, the number of cash transactions in Housing had declined significantly, and all Dining Markets in Housing had already gone cashless. For staff who regularly deposit cash into their Wiscard account, cash deposits can still be made at the Wiscard office in Union South, or money can be deposited online on the Wiscard website.
