In the past, apartments in Eagle Heights and University Houses, managed by the Division of University Housing, were only offered to UW-Madison graduate students, students with families, PhD researchers, academic staff, and faculty. However, demand for on-campus housing for all staff has increased, especially this year due to COVID-19. “We have heard this request from the campus community and have expanded our leasing eligibility to help meet the need,” says Jeff Novak, Director of University Housing. “With options in these two neighborhoods available, we hope to provide University Staff with a variety of choices to meet whatever they may need.”
University Apartments offers beautiful, natural surroundings with easy access to campus via the 80 and 84 bus routes. Amenities included in apartments include appliances (standard sized refrigerator, combination stove/oven), utilities (water, heat, high-speed internet, cable tv), one parking space (additional space available for a monthly fee), access to and cost of on-site laundry facilities, onsite/on call maintenance staff, storage locker with padlock, energy efficient windows, and pull down shades.
