It is possible your test result may come back as “not detected” and there is no further determination of a “positive” or “negative” result. This means that your sample was not valid and you will need to undergo another test. You may also receive a result of “inconclusive” and you should make an appointment in MyUHS to schedule an additional test as soon as possible. If you have any additional questions about your test results, feel free to reach out to University Health Services by calling 1-608-265-5600.
Just a reminder that a negative test does not mean that you are free from COVID-19 and you should continue to take safety measures to keep you and those close to you safe and healthy. Precautions you should continue to take include wearing a face covering when in public or public areas, and when you are spending time with people you don’t live with; maintaining at least six feet of space between you and others you don’t live with, regardless of whether you are wearing a face covering, participating in weekly surveillance testing, and practicing regular hand-washing.
