Dining Operations Updates; Dining Plan Change Dates for Spring Semester

As we near the end of the fall semester, we want to give you an update on dining operations for the spring semester. In September, we shared with you that we would be shifting to all-you-care-to-eat (buffet style) service at Gordon Avenue Market and Four Lakes Market, among other changes to our hours and locations, to help counteract the staffing shortages and supply chain issues that the food service industry is currently experiencing.

Unfortunately, these issues continue to be an ongoing challenge we’re facing. Because of this, we will continue in the current service model through the end of the academic year (May 2022), including any other changes that were outlined in our earlier communication from September.

Dining Plan Changes Available – Nov. 25 thru Dec. 15

Due to these continued changes to service, we have opened up a dining plan change period for spring. If you would like to change your dining plan tier for the spring semester, you can do so in My UW Housing starting November 25 – December 15, 2021. Any changes you make will take effect for the spring 2022 semester, and charges will be included on the spring semester tuition bill released January 10, 2022. You will see this reflected in your Resident Food Account at that time.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to us at dining@housing.wisc.edu or see our Dining FAQs.
