University Apartments is happy to announce our continued partnership with Madison Mental Health Services. This semester we are advertising an additional graduate intern who will be offering free counseling appointments for University Apartments residents through Madison Mental Health Services. Their bio, picture, and how to schedule an appointment with them is listed below.
I was born in China and started my college career in the United States. As a psychology major, I have always wanted to support people with depression or other mental health illnesses because some of my good friends also suffered from mental health crises.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a degree in Sociology, I furthered my career by entering the MSW program at UW-Madison. The program helped me reach a broad population in Dane County. Daily interaction with people enriched my toolkit to handle different situations.
I have cultivated great cultural humility as I come from a multi-cultural background. I also understand cultural differences and similarities between people without assigning them a positive or negative value. I have a kind, gentle nature, which stands me in good stead about client engagement. I want to commit my life to help other people with these characteristics.
As for now, I am an intern at Madison Mental Health Services, and I see clients at no cost. Feel free to contact me at email@example.com or Robert-LYN (WeChat).
