Technê Skillshare: Recursion

Thursday, August 4, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Community Center, Large Gym

Hello, University Apartments Residents! Nicollas Mocelin Sdroievski, a graduate student in the Department of Computer Sciences at UW–Madison, will facilitate the “Technê” workshop on the concept of recursion on Thursday, August 4th, at the Community Center from 7:00PM to 9:00pm.

Recursion is the idea of solving problems by breaking them into smaller versions of themselves. It is one of the most powerful techniques for solving problems using computers. However, you don’t need to be a programmer to understand and apply the basic ideas involved in the technique. This workshop will explore recursive thinking by showing how challenging real-life puzzles become much simpler when viewed through this lens.

This workshop could be of interest to anyone who will take a cognitive test during a job application, who wants to brush up on logical reasoning and get to know more about the principles of computing or just wants to get acquainted with the concept of recursion.

Feel free to stop by any time during the session.

We will bring some refreshments and snacks, and any remaining chocolate from last week’s Techne 🙂
