While visiting or driving past the Eagle Heights Community Garden, have you seen the group of antenna poles and weather equipment? If you’ve wondered what they were and why they are in our back yard, read more here! The National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) is researching a variety of aspects and implications of precipitation. UW-Madison is hosting both the laboratory and the equipment for this really important research. The NADP plays a key role in providing long-term monitoring data to assess policies aimed at reducing air pollution and ecological impacts of atmospheric deposition. They have a multitude of educational resources, programs, data, and more to view on their website: https://nadp.slh.wisc.edu.
