As the spring semester is approaching, and things might get pretty busy pretty soon for many of us, we will be hosting another Tea Hangout event on Thursday, January 19 at the Community Center, room 135, from 5pm to 7pm. We will serve tea and biscuits to get together one more time before the semester starts. This event is put on by the Resident Managers for 100s, 200s, 300s, 400s, 700s, 800s. All UA residents are welcome to attend
Sing your heart out at Karaoke Night on Friday, January 20th, starting at 6pm in the Community Center Large Gymnasium. Come with the songs of your choice whether they’re from today or three decades ago. This is a completely judgement-free zone, and all ranges of talent are welcome to participate! Even if you don’t want to sing, you’re still welcome to come and watch!
Horror Movie Night
Join UA Community Cinema for a screening of Dementia 13 (1963) by Francis Ford Coppola on Sunday, January 22nd at 5:00pm in room 135 of the Community Center. Following last week’s Silent Night, Bloody Night, this film also revolves around the themes of family secrets, lies, and inheritance. The movie is Coppola’s directoral debut. It is also produced by Roger Corman, who directed The Little Shop Of Horrors (1960), which we have also presented in our community cinema. We will have a small discussion after about the issues raised by this movie. Feel free to bring blankets, mats, and pillows for comfortable watching, and we will bring snacks and beverages. *The movie is for adults only.
