In order to ensure compliance with the City of Madison Fire Alarm Code, University Apartments will begin it’s annual Spring fire alarm testing on Monday, April 3, 2023. Testing will take place Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. until April 21, 2023. Residents of the buildings being tested will receive advanced notification via email and paper postings in your buildings.
The testing contractors will need to enter each of the apartments in your building for approximately 5 minutes to test the smoke detectors and mini-horns and strobes, if applicable. Please make sure there is a clear path to all devices during your testing time.
At times, the testing process requires a second visit by our Housing staff. If an additional visit is required in your apartment, you will receive a second notification.
