Food Distribution Through Open Seat this Fall

Wednesdays, 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Community Center, Front Entrance

Open Seat returns to the fall schedule of food distribution each Wednesday in Eagle Heights as an onsite food distribution location. Residents can register to receive food items throughout the semester, each Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Registration is required.

The Open Seat is a food pantry for UW students, run by Associated Students of Madison (ASM), the student government. It strives to alleviate the stresses of food insecurity by providing any UW–Madison student with accessible sources of free produce, dairy, hygiene and canned goods. All food received comes from people who donate money or food to the program.

To receive food care items, complete the registration form. Orders must be placed no later than the Thursday at 12 noon prior to the pick-up date each week. Be sure to bring your grocery bags, totes, or boxes to carry your food items home.

You may also go to the third floor of 333 East Campus Mall and choose from a wider range of options. Please choose one location each week, not both. The East Campus Mall location is open on Mondays 1:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and Fridays 12 noon-4:00 p.m..
