University Housing Partners in Giving Special Events

Check out one of the many fun events University Housing is hosting to support this year’s Partners in Giving campaign!

Use Partners in Giving GiveSmart for Housing’s Special Event Payments! Partners in Giving is making it simple to collect donations through an online platform called GiveSmart. Funds collected through GiveSmart will go directly to Partners in Giving and are applied as special event dollars for University Housing.

Guess Who?

We need your picture! We are looking for past and present photos of current Housing staff members for a photo matching game. Submitted photos will be used in our virtual Guess Who? game slideshow. Show off that old prom dress or tuxedo, bad 80’s perm, high school senior portrait, or let everyone know you were the cutest baby. Upload your past and current photo or email it to akramper@wisc.edu.

Want to play?

Register to participate in our game by Wednesday October 25th. Game time is Monday, October 30th at 1pm. Suggested donation for players is $5. Contestants will have a downloadable playing card featuring current staff photos with names, to compare with a slideshow featuring our old school photos. You do the match! The person with the most correct matches wins a Bucky Book.

If you submit a photo, you can still play! You will not receive a point for matching your own photograph. Did you submit a photo last year? Pick a new one this year and keep us guessing.

Gratitude Grams

Donate $1 (suggested donation per request) and we will send out your special Gratitude Gram to someone you work with, a coworker, a supervisor, someone across the division that made your day!

Submit your notes of appreciation and thanks between Wednesday, November 1 and Friday, November 17, and they will be delivered via email or in person to staff throughout the 2-week period they are submitted.

Your words of thanks/recognition, must be submitted no later than November 17, 2023 at 4:30pm.

Your donation can be submitted to GiveSmart. In the Special Event Description field, enter “Housing Gratitude Gram” or give to one of our Partners in Giving Housing Representatives.

Get Your Selfie with Bucky

Bring your cell phone and get a selfie with Bucky Friday, November 10 from 2–3pm at the UA Community Center or Monday, November 13 from 11am–12pm at the front entrance to the Carson Gulley Center. Suggested donation is $1 per selfie, and group photos are welcome!

Virtual Charity Lunch & Learns

Join one of the 2023 Partners in Giving Virtual Charity Lunch & Learn sessions. The Charity Lunch and Learns occur every Tuesday during the Partners in Giving Campaign. Grab your lunch and tune in to hear from charities who are making an impact locally, nationally, and internationally.
