Intermittent Furlough
University Housing staff are part of the Intermittent Furlough group for the second round of UW-Madison furloughs.
Staff are required to take between 3 – 6 furlough days off from work between January 1, 2021, and June 30, 2021.

Am I eligible for emergency leave?
This decision tree chart can help you see which federal programs you may be eligible for. Please contact HR with questions and specific scenarios.
If you need to use emergency leave for reasons related to COVID-19, you must complete a request form and send it to Housing HR.
You may qualify for paid leave under FMLA or other federal leave provisions through December 31, 2020.

Was my emergency leave request approved?
Human Resources will review the request you sent in, and will send you a final approval or denial letter. We will send the letter to you in the way we received your form – through email or through a paper letter in the mail.
