Michael Hamilton

Michael (they/them/theirs) joined the Residence Life team in January 2022. They are currently one of two Residence Life Coordinators in Witte Hall and serve as a member of the Inclusion, Diversity, Education and Access (IDEA) committee and the University Housing DEI committee. Previously, they worked in the Kronshage community and were a member of the Wisconsin Residential Experience (WRE) and Recognition committees.

After completing a Bachelor’s of Social Work and Undergraduate Certificate in LGBT Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master’s of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Western Illinois University, Michael has worked in housing for almost a decade. They have served as a Residence Hall Director at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, an Area Director (and Interim Assistant Director of Housing) at Carroll University, and as a Residence Life Coordinator at a Community College in Iowa.

Outside of work, you can find Michael hanging out with their senior pup, playing video games, watching anime/movies, playing TTRPGs, watching live-play series, reading, crafting, listening to their growing vinyl collection, and trying new restaurants in the area. They are a bit of a coffee addict and will always join you for a trip to a local coffee shop!
