Elijah Holmes

Elijah Holmes (he/him/his) is one of the founders of this affinity community. As a freshman, he lived on the southeast side of campus. In finding his place on-campus he joined the Wisconsin Black Student Union, University Gospel Choir through impact, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated. In these organizations he found his voice and call to to create a community for students within the Black diaspora. As a Junior, he became a House Fellow and saw an opportunity to create a supportive living experience — that has become Essence.
