Cindy Holzmann

Cindy (she/her) serves as our Associate Director for Residence Education. She is responsible for overseeing our 11 residential learning communities, our residential curriculum- the Wisconsin Residential Experience (WRE), the Housing math and chemistry tutoring programs, our partnership with Cross-College Advising, and Office of Admissions and recruitment events for prospective students.

Besides a brief stint as a French teacher with the Madison Metropolitan School District, Cindy has spent her professional career with Residence Life at UW-Madison. She’s worked as a Residence Life Coordinator (Cole, Bradley, Sullivan; Tripp, Adams, Slichter), an Area Coordinator (Sellery), and an Assistant Director. In previous roles, she was involved with student organization discipline and academic misconduct as a partner to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. 

Cindy earned her BS in Secondary Education and French and her MS in Counseling Psychology from UW-Madison. When she’s not working, she enjoys walking her dog, going to wine tastings, spending time with her extended family, and reading science fiction.
