Lavern Morant

Lavern (she/her) serves as one of our Assistant Directors and oversees the Residence Life Coordinators for Lowell, Merit, Ogg, and Smith Halls. She also is a co-chair of our Recognition Committee, works with our Residence Hall Advisory Board, and oversees Residence Life SOAR (Student Orientation and Registration) operations. 

She completed both her BBA (Management and Human Resources) and MS (Higher Education Administration) from Florida International University in Miami after moving there from Greater Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica. She worked as both a Resident Director and Assistant Director at Ohio University. 

Lavern is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta, Sorority Inc. and enjoys traveling and watching an unhealthy amount of TV.
