Jackie Scola-Bernstein

Jackie (she/her), also known as JSB, is our Associate Director for Student Staff Employment and Training. She oversees all aspects of our nearly 400 student staff, including hiring, payroll, and training. As a part of her role, she also co-chairs the Student Staff Training and Student Staff Employment committees. 

With degrees in Gender & Women’s Studies (BA) and Counseling-Higher Education Administration (MS) from UW-Whitewater, Jackie’s career in housing spans many institutions and titles. She began her career as a Resident Director at UW Platteville, Assistant Hall Director at UW Whitewater, and as a Resident Director at Nichols College (Massachusetts).  Jackie moved to Madison to take on the Residence Life Coordinator role and subsequently worked as an Area Coordinator and Assistant Director with Residence Life.In her time outside of work,  she is a co-advisor to the Wisconsin Evans Scholars House and enjoys sampling the best concession stands that our local youth sports teams have to offer.
