Stay Safe…With BadgerSAFE

It seems there’s an app for everything these days, so it’s probably not surprising that the UW–Madison Police Department has one too. It’s called BadgerSAFE and, as the name suggests, personal safety is its primary goal.

How can it help you?

Emergency Notifications – BadgerSAFE is the only source for Off-Campus Emergency Alerts. Users also receive WiscAlerts, ALERTUS warnings and emergency weather notifications that may affect the campus area.

Friend Walk – Allow a friend or family member to temporarily track your whereabouts, and contact emergency services for you if necessary. This is a great for those late-night walks when an in-person companion or SAFEwalk is not available.

Connect with UWPD – BadgerSAFE offers one-button access to a UWPD dispatcher (NOTE: In an emergency, always call 911 first).

“I’m OK” – Use this BadgerSAFE feature to quickly notify chosen recipients that you’re safe during an emergency or critical incident.
