How to Join

All items must be completed by your due date (May 1 for most admitted students). You can be assigned to any learning/theme community even if you did not preference it.

  1. Sign your University Residence Halls contract and submit your advance payment in My UW Housing.
  2. Rank the Business Connect Learning Community first when you submit your hall preferences in My UW Housing.
  3. Prioritize learning communities over residence halls when you submit your hall preferences in My UW Housing.
  4. Indicate if you want a random or preferred roommate in My UW Housing, and create/join a roommate group if you have a preferred roommate(s). Make sure all preferred roommates have matching preferences.
    • Note: both students must be direct admit Wisconsin School of Business students to be eligible to live in Business Connect. If you select a roommate who is not a direct admit business student, you will be assigned to live with that roommate outside of Business Connect, since only direct admit business students are assigned to Business Connect.

Business Connect Seminar
Personal & Professional Foundations in Business (PPFB)

All students new to the Wisconsin School of Business are required to take Personal & Professional Foundations in Business (PPFB) their first semester. This course introduces students to resources, helps develop important business skills, facilitates networking among business students, and encourages reflection about students’ own personalities, identities, strengths, values, and personal ethics. Sections will be taught in classrooms within Ogg for Business Connect students.
