Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Divisional Committee Introduction

University Housing’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee is made up of members from different units in our division who come together bi-weekly to talk about ways in which we can foster diversity, equity, and inclusion within our departments and the entire division.


To plan and facilitate diversity, equity, and inclusion active and passive learning and engagement opportunities, and assess and review divisional needs of career and full-time staff education and development.

Examples of projects and initiatives (past & present)

Inclusive Language Series in Housing Highlights, adding information to New Employee Orientation, reviewing Third Spaces in our residence halls, compiling and sharing learning opportunities, onboarding updates through peer partner program, professional development training for division, and more.
