Parking applications are now open for the upcoming academic year!
- Submit your parking application before May 23, 2025, through the online permit application system.
- Submitting your parking application before May 23, 2025, helps give you the best chance at your preferred parking lot.
- Bus Passes, Afternoon permits, Night permits, Motorcycle, and Moped permits will be available later in the summer, starting on August 1, 2025.
- New parking permits and bus passes will be valid September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026.

Parking Application Suggestions
- You can submit up to four lot preferences in your application. Include four parking lots that you would accept.
- Include multiple parking lot types in your application. Large parking lots like ramps typically have the most open spots available.
- Starting this year, you will be asked to choose between Baselot or Flex parking parking type. Then, you will select your preferred lots. Note: You cannot add both Baselot and Flex parking lots to the same application.
- If you apply by May 23, Transportation Services will review your application and send out any offers between July 2-3.
- Offers expire after a short amount of time – check your email often and accept an offer right away.

Round 5 and beyond: applications are accepted on a rolling basis and processed every two weeks throughout the parking year.
Reduced Cost Parking Permits
- Staff who apply for either Baselot or Accessible permits will be considered automatically for the reduced cost parking program.
- When you apply online, request a Baselot permit using the online permit application system
- Transportation Services automatically reviews applications for eligibility for the reduced cost program

Bus Passes for 2025 – 2026
- Starting on August 1, 2025, you can purchase a new bus pass at a UW Transportation office or online.
- Yearly bus passes will be reusable starting with the new card you receive this year. If you renew your bus pass next year, you will then keep the same card.

- Starting August 1, you will be able to purchase other passes and permits online or at a UW Transportation Office
- Available August 1, 2025 – employee bus passes, afternoon permits, night permits, moped or motorcycle permits, etc.
