DCS and UHF ~ Multilingual multishift Workday training announcement

In July 2025, all Universities of Wisconsin faculty and staff will use Workday to perform employee self-service tasks. Starting May 6, computer-based Workday training will be available for employees and managers.

UW–Madison will also offer a 3-part in-person training series to help employees learn how to use Workday on a computer and smart phone. This training is designed for employees who do not regular have access to a computer as part of their work on campus. Sessions will be held between July 21–August 8 during the day, evening, and night shifts.

Sessions will be offered in English, Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, Chinese, and Nepali (languages supported by Cultural Linguistic Services).

Each session is 1.5 hours, and employees attend one session each week for three weeks during their normal scheduled shift.  Attendance will be tracked by the Office of Human Resources.

This training series is highly encouraged, therefore, UW Housing’s DCS and UHF multilingual and multishift employees who do not have regular access to a computer as part of their work, will be automatically scheduled and will be informed when and where they should attend.

Training Schedule:

    • Session 1: Introduction to Workday, logging in, view paystub and leave balances – July 21–July 25
    • Session 2: Update personal information, W2, W4, benefits – July 28–August 1
    • Session 3: Search and apply for internal positions, accept lump sums – August 4–August 8

Employees should bring their NetID login and password, smart phone (if they want to use the Workday mobile app), and Wiscard to each session.

If an employee needs an accommodation to attend this session, please contact your local Division Disability Representatives (DDR). All accommodation requests should be made no less than two weeks before the event. We will attempt to fulfill requests made after this date but cannot guarantee they will be met.
