We will begin sending out lease renewal offers to all eligible residents this month. The lease year for University Apartments ends on June 30, 2026. When your lease renewal offer is available, you will be sent an email with the link to your online lease renewal in your My UW Housing. Please review the information and take the necessary steps to complete and accept or decline your renewal offer by the deadline. If you decline your lease renewal, a lease termination or a roommate release would need to be submitted by following the steps under the “Vacating your Apartment” heading in your My UW Housing. Please visit our Lease Renewal webpage for further information. 

As the renewal process approaches, we want you to be aware of the following updates:

Rental Rate
As you receive your 2026-2027 lease renewal, you will notice the annual University Apartments rental rate increase. Rental rates for all three communities were increased by an average of 5%.

We consider our rates and expenses very carefully to offer an affordable, welcoming community and be good stewards of residents’ money. Without these annual increases, we would not be able to meet our commitments for wages, maintenance, capital projects, and campus services, all of which benefit our residents and the University Apartments community.

Singular Lease

Beginning with the 2026–2027 lease term, all apartments within University Apartments will operate under a single, unified lease agreement. This change is intended to streamline information and ensure lease language is consistent and centralized.
