Biography

With a career in Residence Life spanning several decades, Scott (he/him) currently serves as the Assistant Director for Residence Education. At Madison, he has specialized in creating and sustaining residential learning communities. He currently works with our 11 learning communities, supervises our Math and Chemistry tutoring program, and coordinates in-hall course sections.

Scott has worn many hats at UW-Madison, including as an Area Coordinator, Residence Life Coordinator, and Instructor. Before moving to Madison, he was a Hall Director and Assistant Director of Student Activities at St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN). Raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, he holds 3 degrees in Education: a Ph. D (University of Wisconsin-Madison), an M.S. (University of Wisconsin- Whitewater), and a B.S. (University of Minnesota- Twin Cities).

Scott is the co-founder and chair of the Madison LGBTQ+ Archive and enjoys singing in local choral groups.
