In preparation for the leaf and snow removal season, please review the following University Apartments Grounds reminders.
Storage Policy
The Fall/Winter storage policy officially goes into effect on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. This policy ensures that University Apartments staff can safely and efficiently remove snow from around your building. Property other than shovels, sleds, and bikes, must be moved indoors. Grills left outdoors are to be placed on the rear patios or aprons of your building where snow removal is not needed. See the University Apartments Storage Policy for full details.
Items that currently require attention:
- You may not store property in hallways or on fire rescue landings
- Bikes in bike racks (or on patios in University Houses)
- Flower pots removed from outdoors
- Garden hoses in proper storage
- Grills properly stored on pavement
- Pumpkins properly disposed of after fall Holidays
- Toys removed from outdoors
Limited storage space may be an issue for you and your family, but storing items outdoors during the winter may result in the property being damaged and or lost. The goal of University Apartments is to create a clean and safe environment during the winter months. Some heavy equipment is used to clear snow around entranceways, items stored in these areas can make it difficult to operate this equipment. Please reach out to the University Apartments Facilities Office at 608-262-2307 with any questions or concerns.
Parking
Registration/Baselot Stickers
You are required to register and display your red, baselot parking sticker on your personal vehicle using your assigned parking stall. “Base Lot” refers to the lettering of the different parking lots throughout Eagle Heights, Harvey Street, and University Houses. Each apartment is assigned a parking stall in a base lot. In order to legally park, each car must display the required permit/sticker. If you have recently transferred apartments, please make sure you have the correct sticker on your vehicle. Please be sure to use your assigned parking stall only.
Paid Parking
If you have a secondary vehicle parking in University Apartments, you are required to register to use Paid Parking stalls available in Eagle Heights or Lot Z. Motorcycles are exempt if you can park them at the top of your assigned parking stall with your vehicle and I does not exceed the parameters of your assigned parking stall. All vehicles using paid parking stalls will need a red baselot parking sticker and purple hangtag.
Visitor Parking
You are required to register a for a guest parking pass if your visitor will park in University Apartments more than 48 consecutive hours or more than 2 visits in one week.
