We want to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Use this in-room guide to discover important room features and amenities, as well as important procedures in an emergency.

About Chadbourne

Chadbourne is connected to Rheta’s Market. Its central location and close proximity to a number of major bus lines make it very convenient for residents to get around quickly. Chadbourne Hall is in close proximity to many campus libraries, the student union, and classrooms.

Mail and Packages

Your address is: Your Name | Room # | 420 N. Park Street | Madison, WI 53706-1406

Your mailbox has the same number as your guest room, and your room key will open it. Any packages delivered for you will be logged and kept at the Hall Desk until you are able to retrieve them. You will receive an email stating that you have something to pick up.

Ice and Vending

Ice and ice containers are located on the lower level, adjacent to the vending machines. A variety of snacks and beverages are available for purchase.

Laundry

Washing machines/dryers are located on the lower level.

The cost of laundry is included in your room fee. Washers and Dryers can be activated at the Laundry Alert panel near the entrance. Small boxes of high-efficiency soap are sold at the Flamingo Run convenience store if needed.

Waste, Recycling, & Energy Consumption

Help us recycle and minimize energy during your stay. Waste and recycling containers indicate what items to place in each bin. Dispose of trash and recycling in the designated outdoor areas. Maps in your residence hall show the nearest disposal locations. Additional liners are found in your waste containers and can be requested at the front desk. To conserve energy, turn off lights and electronic devices when you’re not in the room.

Room Servicing

For Adult groups: Servicing of your room is by request only. Please fill out this form to request either full room service or towel refresh only, prior to 8 am on the day(s) you need service. Room servicing is not conducted on Sundays. Please remember that as Wisconsin state employees, we are not allowed to accept tips or gifts.

For Youth groups or groups without servicing options: Please contact your front desk for room needs.

Dining

General serving times and menus are available at the hall desk, dining facility, and online for groups providing a meal plan within University Housing dining. All-you-care-to-eat service is available with a credit card at Four Lakes Market. No carry-in food or beverages are allowed.

Flamingo Run

Located on the first floor of Dejope Residence Hall or on the first floor of Gordon Dining and Events Center, Flamingo Run is a retail store, open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dejope and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gordon during the summer, selling various convenience items for credit card purchases.

At the end of your stay, close your windows, lock your door, and return your key to the desk or use the “key drop box” in the lobby.
